Hi,

I got your response to our ad stating your interest in our house located at 6850 N Hudoff Rd, Bloomington, IN 47408.
The home features hardwood floors, large closets and ample natural light, stone fireplace in living room, polished
hardwood floors, bonus storage loft with views to back yard, tankless water heater June 2010, mint condition and
ready to move in. Just move in and enjoy! Enjoy cooking in the kitchen complete with refrigerator, electric glass
stove top and dishwasher, Full Basement, Washer and dryer included in the rent. nicely designed fully equipped
kitchen. 978ft² Turn Key!

The house is owned by me and my husband. We are a little selective in leasing out the House. Our priority is taking
a responsible, careful, understanding and reasonable tenant that will take good care of the property.

The above virtues are very important as we intend to leave you in full charge of the house while we are away. My
husband and I just relocated to West Africa recently due to transfer. We wanted to sell the house before since we
will be away for a long time and since we might even not be moving to the house when we arrive, so we thought of
renting it out since selling is taking longer than expected. So you can rent the place as long as it works with us.
We intend renting from here as we would send the keys to you so you can take possession if we conclude.

Note that only a serious and responsible applicant will be considered. It is therefore your responsibility to prove
to us that you are the perfect tenant for us.

I do apologize if I sound too strict but we are giving out the house at a most affordable rate i.e. $500 month rate
(Utilities included are electricity, internet, water and heat). This reduced cost is far below the house's worth and
is intended to serve as a constant reminder of your responsibility to take good care of the house for us if given
the opportunity. We are one of the few who believe Bloomington, IN housing should not be so high in cost of rentals.

Besides, we only need someone to occupy the house and take care of it. If we had a close family friend or relative
in Bloomington, IN, we would simply give it out to them to help us take care of it.

Its a lovely house, so we will require you get back if you are really interested and are ready to abide by our mode
of renting, as we are just trying to ensure we rent to the right person, as we want a clean and responsible person,
someone that will take absolute care of the place, as my husband feels it wouldn't be right to leave such clean
place unoccupied.

Get back to me so i can know your plans and give you the next step however you can drive by the location and be
rest assure before getting back to me as the house is absolutely clean and note that there's a $400 security
deposit plus a $500 months rent due at signing of lease.

Best Regards

P.S: Also note that subsequent months rent is due at every first day of each month.

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union, MoneyGram or bank transfer with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
