Room for Rent and other rental scams

This person, who called himself Paul Maslog and then signed an email with the name James, posted a fake vacation rental on Craigslist San Luis Obispo for a 2 bdr, 2 ba condo in Avila Beach. The details are too good to be true ($150/night, way low for that area, no cleaning fee, accepts pets, and available at the last minute at the height of the season). Offers pick up at the "Airport" -- nobody who goes there comes by plane! The photos sent do not match photos for the property on legitimate local real estate sites. After a few back and forth inquiries, he sends information requesting a wire transfer for a $200 deposit and $200 security fee. When asked for a local contact, he sent the name of the "owner" -- Thomas Nelson, 1059 California Ave. W, St. Paul MN. If you search this site, you will find multiple scams by this individual.
