Thanks for your interest and sorry for the late response.it was due to my wife illness but i thank GOD she is getting better.I must confess that I am very very new in this landlord business..However, My name is Max Gitierrez,I own the house located at (1134 North Edgefield Avenue, Dallas TX 75208).Due to my job as a missionary I spent less time in the States so I could not get a hold on any Realtor to handle this rent issue, although it was when I knew how long we are going to stay in Africa that I decided to rent out the house and i will be here for (4-5 years)..How ever,the initial plan was to sale out the house which I tried, but some times the agents inflates the prize and it takes longer to sell i am telling you this in case if you find the house on another website,that is the old advert. because of this reason and more we need a responsible person (With good credit) that can take very good care of it as we are not after the money , but want it to be clean and for you to take of it as if it were yours The rent is $550 and $550 for Security Deposit...Utilities such as Air Conditioner Dishwasher Walk-in Closet Refrigerator Vaulted Ceilings Washer/Dryer Cable etc are all included in the rent...Here is my phone number (+234-704-584-4483 OR 011-234-704-584-4483)

The 6242 Del Norte Lane, Dallas TX 75225 3 bedroom and 2.2 bathroom Single-Family Home. Which My wife and I occupied before leaving for Nigeria. We left on a self Mission following God's Call to Preach the Word and Let people of all Nations Hear About Him.

We are looking for a well-behaved, clean and honest tenant to rent out our house.We will like you to give us your word and promise us that you will take good care of our house so that we will be happy when we come to visit you in the future. We are willing to work on any flexible plan you may have on your term of renting,Long or short term or month by month.

I had a Realtor company help me get a tenant, but they were handling things too professionally and were extorting the tenants, so i took the job of their hands and tried doing this my self, but couldn't find any tenant while I was still in the state as at last week. so as a matter of urgency for my travel, I do not want my home to be misused in my absence, I decided to take the keys and documents along with me. So I hope you will promise me to take very good care of the house always. I really do need to get a very well-behaved person to take occupancy of my house and take good care of it for me.We shall be staying for upwards of five years here doing God's Work,a 90 days notice shall be given to you prior to our arrival back to the states after five years of service here in Nigeria.

I received the same email, but a different name....after responding to and answering their questions I realized it was a scam....anyone know if they are just out for the money, or do I need to worry about my identity or what the intentions are? I am way concerned now

They are just out for the cash.

They have sometimes used the names of former victims in future scams. This is by no means ideal, but it is typically not very difficult to prove you weren't involved, so it becomes more of a headache than anything else. They don't have enough information for true identity theft.

You will also likely see more scam attempts directed at, or tailored to you personally.
