Happy to hear from you,

I cannot show the apartment in person or arrange a veiewing because i
do not have anyone in the United States with the keys to the property,
i live in Europe, in the United Kingdom and work for an adveritsing
company in London. I usually rent the apartment thru a neutral escrow
agent and send the keys, rental paperwork once the tenant has
deposited the funds in escrow, as security in case something is
damaged or stolen.

The apartment's main plus is it's address : 115 4th Ave New York NY 10003 .
If you are interested you can drive by the building to get the feel
and to know the area. It is in a very select downtown neighborhood,
The area is very nice, very quiet and safe, it is close to all the
best attractions, easy access to public transportation. Great
Restaurants, Bars, Pubs and shopping abound in the immediate area,
within walking distance.

And here is a video of the apartment so you can see exactly what the
interior looks like :

First + Last + One month security deposit in advance. (you will get
the deposit back when you move out)

US$1400.0/Month X 3 to move-in.
You can secure it now and move-in later, the lease will start from the
day you move in.

The rent is for the entire 2 bedroom apartment, Water,Gas,Electricity,
Internet, cable, 1 gated parking , All the utilities and amenities fees
are included in the monthly rent.

All the best wishes,

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union or MoneyGram to an escrow company with a promise that he will send the keys through a courier company.

Sounds safe. It's not!
These companies do not work this way.

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
