Thanks for your interest and inquiries about my house. Yes the house is still available for rent and we are looking for a responsible person/family to occupy and maintain the house now that we are not around. However, the initial plan was to sell out the house. which I tried, but sometimes the agents inflates the price and it takes longer to sell i am telling you this in case if you find the house on another website. Also how long do you intend to stay? I almost was a victim of the same same but the rental home is at 1373 Boxwood Ct, Livermore, CA. All of the e-mails from home owner are the same, but the name he used is Sund Steven. As a Realtor I was able to do a property profile from Old Republic Title . Mr Sund Steven is the home owner but is doing this scam again using Western Union, and going through Malaysia. I tried to file a report with the Livermore, CA PD. They would not even do a report, they said there was nothing they could or would do about the scam. I even have a local address for this man. I even tried to contact 2 local newspapers, to run a story, to warn people, never heard back from anyone. So these scams will continue until someone makes them stop.

Welcome MrsLemmon,

The reason the police won't take action against this man is because he is not the scammer. He has absolutely nothing to do with the attempt to steal your money.

The real scammers are Africans who are most likely in Africa or Malaysia. They have simply stolen a real property owner's information, and then placed ads using his name and their email addresses. The police cannot conduct international investigations, and the agency responsible for investigating these crimes is not going to investigate unless a very large sum of money (typically hundreds of thousands of dollars) has been lost.
