THIS IS A WARNING TO ALL PEOPLE LOOKING TO RENT OUT ROOMS
Hi guys, I just wanted to warn you all that i almost got completely scammed by a person using a fake ID as Paul Klassen, unfortunetly I still haven't found out this scammer's real ID but I have an ongoing police investigation going on. So hopefully I will be able to update you all soon enough.
This guy works through Easyroommate.com, which is where I was looking for a room to rent.
Please do not trust this guy, I was lucky enough to find out that he was scammer on one of you threads as he's scammed many people into sending him money to block rooms to rent (that obviously dont exist), hence I didn't send him any money, but I made the mistake to send him a copy of my passport as I only found out he was a scammer from his following email asking me to put down a deposit to block the room.
I know that he specialises in earning people trust through numerous emails, and gets them to send him their passport copy so that he can use their ID to scam others.
This brings me to my next point. if you ever see any rental advertisement from Matteo Zanasi (my name)
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT TRUST IT.
I am scared he's going to use my passport copy to trick people, so I am trying to give the best possible warning to you guys and hopefully smart people will find this thread if they have any suspicion of a scam.
I hope this will help everyone, and remember, NEVER EVER trust someone that asks you to pay up front if you're not 100% certain of who they are and if they are trust worthy.
