Regarding the apartment,it will be indeed available for the required
date which you have specified. The apartment is of course available
for long and short term period depending on how long you wish to rent
it.

Having said that, in other words, I have to let you understand that I
cannot make any move of traveling from UK to meet you and hand over
my properties, without confirming the security deposit. You have to
pay for the security deposit as a sign of seriousness that you are
willing to rent my apartment, while the one month rent fee will be
paid after we meet in Göteborg when the keys will be handed over to
you.

This is as a reason of past experiences with bitter and sad
experiences with past tenants. A situation whereby after spending time
and money traveling from United Kingdom to Göteborg, I didn't meet
anyone. It was indeed a very painful experience, and it happened
twice.

Due to such situation, I have vowed that before I can make any move of
traveling, tenants would need to pay for the security deposit (3,500
SEK). This is to confirm that you are a serious tenant and willing to
rent my apartment. Before the payment of the security deposit, we are
going to sign the (Refundable Security Deposit Agreement) and (Tenancy
Agreement) documents, which you have to sign and send me back copies,
along with the receipt of payment of the deposit.

So if you agree with the terms and conditions above, kindly get back
to me with the following details for the contract documents..

Name in Full..
Address...
Nationality...
Date of move in and out....
Phone number....
Sex..................Male or Female.

Also, get back to me with your passport id card scanned to me.

Hope to read from you soonest.

Regards,

Nikolaos Tertipis

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union, MoneyGram or bank transfer with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
