Hi,
I've been relocated with my job in Reykjavik - Iceland and need for my flat to be rented. I haven't had pets, I kept the apartment clean but if you have any kind of pet , I ain't got no problem. The apartment is available for immediate move in and for a long renting period. I can't take the risk to leave my new job. Ten days ago I was in Cardiff to meet with a client but when I arrived in Cardiff he never responded to my e`mails and to my phone calls and now I need to be sure 100 % before I'll come in Cardiff .
Look how we can do:
You make the payment from your name and address to your best friend name in UK using Western Union for 2 months rent which means £1200 and send me the scanned receipt. As soon as I see the scanned receipt that you have made the payment, I'll buy a ticket and I'll come in Cardiff to show you the flat and maybe rent it. After this, we'll go together to Western Union office and you'll refund the money. So all you have to do is to find the nearest Western Union office and wire £1200 from your name to your friend name and send the scanned receipt. I'm asking you this to be sure that I won't come in UK for nothing. The Western Union transfer fees will be paid back to you by me cash when we meet to show you the flat.As soon as I have the confirmation from Western Union that the money are available for pick up by your friend , I'll stop talking with other customers. I hope you understand properly this situation cause you won't send me any money, penny. You will send me only the proof that you are having the money until the day I'll come in Cardiff to show you the flat.
Regards,
Anna Clarkson
P.S. : I'LL BE IN CARDIFF IN 2-3 DAYS AFTER I SEE THE PROOF.
This person asks for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent (for a property that he does not own) due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union, MoneyGram or bank transfer either to him, his lawyer, your friend or a family member.
Sounds safe. It's not!
At other times, this person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union or Moneygram with the promise that they will send the keys through a courier company.
In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.
If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
