I would like to report an incudent that very much looks like a fraud to me. I am looking for housing in Utrecht and I wll post correspondence with somebody that calls himself BARTEL HADEWICH. The ad was (maybe still is) on KAMERNET.NL and it was about a furnished appartment on Koestraat at a very good price.

I received your email of interest for the rental of my apartment located in Netherlands.The apartment is still available.There is no other persons in the house, so you will not have to share the apartment.I made an mistake in the ad (my dutch language is not so well), the apartment have 50 m2 .
My name is Bartel Hadewich, i live in United Kingdom, i have a lovely wife Vivian and 26 year old daughter, Gabriella.I am very proud to say that soon i'm going to be a grandfather.I bought this apartment for my daughter during her studies in Netherland but now she's back in UK permanently so nobody is there to take care about renting it, so I will just send you the keys and contract using a Estate Delivery Company. They will act as a third party in our transaction.

The price you shall pay for one month of rent will be 375 euro and 375 euro security deposit ( kaution ), with no extra taxes to pay.
I am not interested to make a lot of money from the rent as I am interested to find a tenant that will take goof care of the property.I wish to rent my apartment to some nice and responsible people and in order to do that I have to know a some details about you (Your name,address,like how many persons are you planning to live in the apartment, for how long, if you have a steady income, etc.). You should also know that I appreciate sincerity very much.
Because didn’t had time to find a trustworthy person, don’t have any friends in the area to send the keys I found an alternate solution in order to close the transaction safe for the both of us ,a company who will handle the payment and keys + contract delivery, it is an international company called TNT Rentals,please visit there website( http://www.tnt.com/express/en_gb/site/h ... ivery.html ).
They will provide assistance in handling the payment and delivery of the Keys and Lease Agreement. With this procedure you will be able to check the apartment and after that they will pay me or no depend if you will keep the apartment or not.
To avoid any misunderstanding i will glad explain you step by step how the transaction work if you are interested.

After analyzing all the applications together with my wife, we decided that you would be suitable to rent our apartment.
I want to inform you that TNT will hold the money until you will confirm to them that you like the apt and keep the keys. If you don't like it, you only have to return the keys to them after they will refund the money to you.
I will explain to you step by step how this will work:
1 - To start this transaction i will need to know your full shipping information, full name, full shipping address to proceed with this deal .
2 - I will go to the TNT Company office to drop off the keys and documents of the house, along with the rental contract.
3 - TNT will check the documents to make sure I am the actual owner of the flat, then, they will send you an invoice.
4 - After the rental company send you the invoice, you’ll have to pay the money for the first month and the security month to TNT Company, according to the instructions from the invoice. This will be a guarantee that they don’t send an agent all the way to your country for a joke. The deposit will be just a formality, and it will not commit you to renting the apartment.
The money will remain in the custody of TNT Rental Company until you have checked the flat and confirmed that everything is good.
5 - At this point you will have to make a money transfer deposit on the TNT agent name assigned with this transaction for the amount we agreed. After you pay the deposit, and send them the details, TNT Company will send an agent to your country in the next 24-48 hours (Monday to Friday) and will delivery you the keys at your house door and then you will go with him at the apartment to inspect it.
You can also decide which date and time will fit your schedule best for the inspection.
6 – If you will be satisfied with the flat, you will sign a copy of the contract. However, if you are not pleased with the apartment for any reason, the TNT Rental Company agent will give you the money back on the spot, and I will get my keys and documents back.
I will pay for the services of the agency, so there will be no extra costs for you.
Also, in case you have another apartment right now, and you cannot move out immediately, we can make the deal as I explained it now, and consider it only an inspection and reservation.
If you want to begin, please give me the details which I requested above, so I can make the arrangements.
