details of the room.I will be making a payment of $550for month rent to
move in. I'll be so happy if you can reserve the room for me additional $50
would be paid for removing the advert from the site because i'm so much
interested in renting the room. My organization will be responsible for all
the fees and the payment will be by United State money order as i was stated
in my previous, so paying my rent would not be a burden for me. I will need
the following information so that my organization can send the payment out
to you soon.
(1) Full name as it will appear on the payment.
(2) Contact address
(3) phone number
Kindly get back to me with this requested address,contact information so
that the United state money order can be made to you on time.
My coming over to the United States will by the 20th of of these month so i
will like to pay for the rent and i will be staying for the minimum of 6 to
12 months, So you'll get the payment ahead of my arriving date. Looking

and after giving the details the scammer needs, this should be his reply:-

Pleasure in hearing from you,i really appreciate it and i'm okay with the
condition of the room,also i have forwarded all necessary details about you
and the room to my company that would be responsible for the payment and
they said it is okay by it, they promised to make the payment out to you
soon.
I will like to inform you that i will be shipping some of my luggages like
my stored research profile desktop and Laptop computer and my car (Toyota
camry 2..2 LE 2002 Model)that my Organization bought for me for work,my
Organization has promised to include the money for the shipment with the
money for the rent,so as soon as the shippers come to deliver my stuffs,you
will help me to give them the remaining money at the point of there delivery
after you may have deducted the money for the rent.. i will really
appreciate you if can do this for me, so that my company can get the payment
send to you on time.I have attached my picture for you. I can't wait to meet
you inperson.

The words that I have changed to BOLD are where the scammer starts to introduce the idea that the cheque being sent includes money that needs to be sent to a third party. (although it won't be at the 'point of delivery'). It will turn out to be by Western Union Money Transfer which can be picked up just about anyway in the world and is virtually untraceable once collected.

The next step is for the scammer to confirm that a cheque will be issued and that a 'shipper' will be delivering her belongings.

The 'shipper' is never going to arrive without being paid first.
