Beware of texting to 585-420-1541

I own a property management company in Indianapolis, IN. We are registered with the state as an LLC. Recently, some of my postings have been "stolen" and reposted by a Pastor whose phone number is 585-420-7541. He encourages prospective tenants to send him money and he will send the keys and lease back. Fortunately, most people won't rent something that is sight-unseen. I have reported this to the Attorney General in Indiana and also in New York (where the 585 area code is located.) I run a legitimate business and wish to encourage anyone who needs to check on a rental property to call a licensed Realtor to check the Multiple Listing Service in the area where the home is located. Most MLS services have a special section just for rentals.

The number 585-420-1541 in the subject appears to be a typo.

585-420-7541 listed in the body is a pinger number which is a web based messaging system with VoIP calling. The scammer is using this system because he is not in New York and most likely has an accent that would give away his true location.
