Hello Dear,

Thanks for your response to our Home on CL,we are glad you are interested in renting,we would want you to know that our home is located in a very safe neighborhood.Myself and my husband owns the house and also want you to know that it was due to our transfer to (Mobile, Alabama) for his new Work that made us to leave our Property. We are currently looking at renting our home to a responsible person/Family who would be in our home while we are in Mobile as we don't intend selling the property,we want someone who can take very good care of the property in our absence for it to be clean all the time and treat as if it were their own. We have been in Mobile for a month now and it sure has been fun here as we are trying to fit in,we are currently with the keys to our home,As we earlier tried to seek the services of an agent before we left, but could not find and we as well do not want our house to be used any how in our absence that is why we took it along with us. So i hope you would be able to take good care of our home, So if you are willing to rent and care for our home do get back to us stating your rental history and more about you. We do hope you are okay with the Rent and the Security Deposit. You are advised to go ahead and view the property exterior whenever you can.

Thank you for posting this scam. It will help to alert others who might be uncertain.

The writing tells me that the author is African.
Notice the parenthesis around Mobile, Alabama? This is a script email, and the scammer simply changes the location in parenthesis. You can see here that they have used the same line and simply changed (or deleted) the location in their different scams: https://www.google.com/search?q=%22Myself+and+my+husband+owns+the+house+and+also+want+you+to+know+that+it+was+due+to+our+transfer+to%22&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

I removed your other posts because they appeared to be accidental duplicates.

Welcome mcatmoore, So glad to hear that you were not scammed by this/these people and thank you for posting the information. Just to clarify in case other potential victims search. This was a Craigslist posting for a rental property in Spicewood, Texas. The name used is Parkan Keith E and the email is [email protected]. The title of the ad was "Cute cabin by the lake!" Is that correct?
