Room for Rent and other rental scams

I'm looking to rent an apartment in Amsterdam and have already come up against one scam with a known scammer name Christopher Wenham in London. I recently responded to another craigslist listing for an apt in amsterdam and this is the response I got.

to me
Hello,
My name is Donna. I have available the studio-apartment located in Gerard Doustraat 50- De Pijp.
Here's a little bit about me: I am a professional British woman 43 years old, no kids and I worked as an economist in Amsterdam. My contract period there expired and now I've moved back to London-my born city, to spend some time with my family and to get a job here.

Due to this fact I'm renting the apartment for an indefinite period, up to few years.

The price for a month of rent is €470 including all the monthly utilities(water, heating, wi-fi etc). It has 45m2.It's fully furnished and equipped, but there is a storage where you can deposit my furniture if you want to bring your own stuff.
The apartment was recently renovated.

As I said, I'm in London now because I live and work here and I'm the only person who has the keys of the apartment, but I have a solution to solve this problem, so you can move in the apartment when you receive the keys.

Thank you and let me know if you have any questions for me.

Sincerely,
Donna Garret

This is a very similar story to what Christopher Wenham gave. I posted my experience with him on another thread. Can anyone verify that Donna Garret is also a scammer or better yet one and the same Christopher Wenham?

If the text is same it is possibly same person. However scammers will just as soon steal a method that works off the person next door in the internet caff in Lagos as invent their own version. But yes such methods are typical of a scammer and the solution will be by Western Union Transfer, or fake Paypal, and fake couriers. Always beware the ones that are absent from access to their own property.

I have emailed this person tonight also and instead of saying she lives in London to you, she told me she lives in Vienna.
Hope this helps!

Definitely a scam. The "woman" claims to be British, but the grammar and sentence structure show that English is not the author's first language.

Precisely what others have already said - it's a 1000% scam. Anytime western union or moneygram are involved, it's a surefire sign of a scam. Do NOT trust anyone that tries to involve these two phrases.
