Thank you very much for the interest in my house. I will like you to know that I am only renting this beautiful house of mine out due to my present predicament. I have to relocate back to my native state to be closer to my family at large. I returned to the States to discover that my ear-drums had been severely damaged following the close range bomb-blast that narrowly escaped back in Iraq where I was deployed as a US Army. I have been living with one ear to hear people talk for 2years until last month when i discovered i couldn't even hear anything again even with the one left. Also my wife has been living with cancer and it is getting a little tough for us to cope alone over her. So, I decided to move closer to my family in FLORIDA so as to be able to take good care of my wife and myself as well. My initial plan was to sell out the house which I tried but sometimes the Realtor inflates the price and it takes longer to sell i am telling you this in case if you find the house on another website as for sale, that is the old advert. So, i need a tenant that will take care of the property just like I would. I had received some proposals regarding the rent because it is located in a very nice area of (Grand Forks, ND), but I still have to make sure it is rented out to someone who can take very good care of it. The first month rent is $900 and refundable security is $600 and total move-in cost is $1500. Pets are welcome in as much they are well-behaved. Utilities such as Water, Trash Collection and Internet and Cable TV have all been included in the monthly rent. You will only be responsible for Electricity bills and snow removal as the case may be.

Thanks for your prompt response. I and my wife are really pleased with all what you have said so far and i believe i may have found the right tenant to take care of our property. I am with the keys and documents to the house here in Florida so you will not be able to view the inside of the house until i mail you the keys. We will not be returning to the Grand Forks again as we are fully settled here in Florida but we would be free to check on you and our property once in a while. If you happen to be our God chosen tenant, you will be in charge of all maintenance of the house and you will surely be reimbursed by deducting the total amount spent from your next month rent. The thief will tell you that you can rent his accommodation only if you can prove that you have genuine interest. He will ask you send money by a Money Transfer Service to yourself or a member of the family to show that you have sufficient finances and that you are not a "time waster".

Another variation of this scam is that you need to send money in order that the keys and other documents can be couriered to you

He will ask you to send him the transfer details.

Make no mistake ! These transfers can be picked up virtually anywhere in the world and with the minimum of identification. They are almost impossible to trace once the money has been collected. You will never get to see the accommodation or your money again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment by Western Union or other Money Transfer Services before viewing, then it will also be a scam.
