Hi,
I appreciate the fact that you have interest in my flat.
I am a professional as well but presently out of the city to birmingham. I would love
to rent out my flat to a neat, friendly person. Who ever rents the flat owns it all.
However, my Flat is very comfortable fully furnished. This is not any council property
or property on council estate. I am a private landlord.

Spacious lounge, fully fitted large kitchen with washing machine, fridge, freezer,
microwave, etc. Gas central heating, telephone, Wi-Fi , TV points and internet
facilities Garage, gardens front and rear with barbque. Cooking utensils, bedding
supplied .No agents, available to occupy now.

We can arrange for viewing now, i will need to know how serious you are in renting the
flat because i have been fooled alot by people who pretended to be serious at first.
Once i know how committed you are, then i will be coming over upon your reply to this
email.
All bills inclusive. Bank statement is not needed as evidence of willingness to
renting flat. Once i recieve the following, i will be coming over for viewing;
(i)Reference letter from current landlord.
(ii)Westernunion transaction to KNOWN PERSON ( not me ) for financial
capability.

Regards

The thief will tell you that you can rent his accommodation only if you can prove that you have genuine interest. He will ask you send money by wire transfer (normally Western Union) to yourself or a member of the family to show that you have sufficient finances and that you are not a "time waster".

Another variation of this scam is that you need to send (by Western Union) money in order that the keys and other documents can be couriered to you

He will ask you to send him the transfer details.

Make no mistake ! Western Union Transfers can be picked up virtually anywhere in the world and with the minimum of identification. They are almost impossible to trace once the money has been collected. You will never get to see the accommodation or your money again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment by Western Union before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.

Hi Michelle
The flat is located in sloane square SW1W 8BP,
Please, i need you to take your time and go through my email carefully,You need not to
pay for flat not yet viewed.
But what i meant was that i have been disturbed alot by prospective tenants by waisting
my time coming over all the way from birmingham to london later discovered that that they don't have the money for flat but they love the flat. So i have been advised that if i ever see anyone interested in the flat, they should take a step further in confusing me that they have the money for the flat before i come over.
So if interested, you will proceed to Western union outlet collect the transfer form and make a transfer of a month rent 800pcm from your friend or relative name to your name as the reciever(not me)from Dublin to London that proof to you that your money is within your custody, you will email me with the scan copy of the reciept to proof that the transaction has taken place and the money is available for pick up

Then i will confirm from Western union if the transaction has been taken place and the
money is available for pick up that proove that you have the cash for the rent.
Once i am able to confirm, i will email you back almost immediately then i will be coming over to London the same day you arrived in London. When we meet in person, we shall now go to any Western union outlet and pick up the money and you will pay me if you like the flat but if not, you will go with your money. You will be charged minimal fee for transfering and i promise to pay the money back to you once we meet in person.

I will get the contract ready for you to sign if you like to take the Flat after viewing and the keys will be handed over to you immediately after contract. Receipt of payment will be issued to you after which you have sign the lease agreement form. The deposit money is refundable after the contract end.
I hope i've explained, i am not in any way telling you to pay me before viewing.

Please find the attached file.
