This person asks for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent (for a property that he does not own) due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a cash or bank transfer either to him, his lawyer, your friend or a family member.
Sounds safe. It's not!
At other times, this person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union or Moneygram with the promise that they will send the keys through a courier company.
In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.
All the details such as names, addresses, pictures etc. that the scammer uses in order to back up his story, are stolen from elsewhere.
If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.

Minimum Stay: 1 month
Maximum stay:1 yr with the option of extending the contract after 12 months
Refundable security and damage deposit:£500(refundable after end of contract
Description:The room is extremely big ( more than 20 square meters) it is fully furnished and super bright ( 2 big windows) and it has a big bathroom with powerful shower and bath of sole use of the room!
In addition there is another spacious double bedroom which is empty but can be also rented for occasional guests (family or friends) at the same price of the weekly rent!
The flat is super convenient, it is a 4 minute walk from Pimlico tube station (Victoria line), across the street there's a bus stop and it's close to the river too so perfect for people willing to jog or cycle.
It is just across from the Tate Britain, the London College of Design and walking distance ( 15 minutes) to Victoria station, House of Parliament and therefore also Westminster tube station ( circle and district lines and jubilee).
The location is extremely quiet which is something unique for such a central location and the apartment is on the first floor.
Just across the flat there is also a communal garden which is perfect for unwinding and relaxing and off street parking is available!
