working with Gregs constuction company in Manchester for a 6months
contract which will expire in June.I intend to rent out my flat to a
responsible and God fearing person who will be willing to take care of
my flat .I will be willing to come in from Manchester on account of a
genuine reason,as soon as you have a proof to set you aside from all
the time wasters who book an appointment and do not meet up and some
come up but with a story of not having money at hand and begging me to
wait till the end of the month for salary.I will like to know if you
are coming with your friend to live in my flat? How many months do you
intend to stay in my flat?Would you be able to take care of my
flat? Then if you will be coming for viewing,i will like you to
differentiate yourself from the time wasters and weak financial
status.I have had several cases of people we had a deal for viewing
and fail to turn up and making me look like a fool at the tube station
and also some getting to viewing and messing up by telling me they
have no money yet to pay for the rent.I have discover some landlords
idea i and we have resolved that any interested candidate should be
able to prove in the following way in order to determine who is
financially buoyant and that he or she can stick to appointment when
scheduled. You will have to send money to your friend or your partner
who is close to you thru post office money gram, the total sum of one month rent and security and damages which at least stands for your financial affordabilty of the rent in other to know your financial strenght of renting a flat, after this the receipt would be scanned to me as i makes verification of your affordabilty online the website, after viewing my flat then your partner or you can retrieve back the money, have also decided to refund back to you the transfer charges when you come for viewing.Bring along the receipt of the payment so i can return to you back the transfer charges when coming for viewing. Please note that i have not instructed you to send money to me but instead a trustworthy friend who can later pick up for you after the arrangement for viewing has been secured.
Thanks for your understanding and hope to read from you soon as we
proceed. Please dont forget that i will be refunding back to you the
transfer charges with the proof of the payment receipt.Once it is
confirmed online that the transfer is in the system then i will meet
up with you soon for a proper viewing and we can conclude every other
necessary documentations before i take my leave back to Manchester. You

explanation,07035904602.

The thief will tell you that you can rent his accommodation only if you can prove that you have genuine interest. He will ask you send money by wire transfer (normally Western Union) to yourself or a member of the family to show that you have sufficient finances and that you are not a "time waster".

Another variation of this scam is that you need to send (by Western Union) money in order that the keys and other documents can be couriered to you

He will ask you to send him the transfer details.

Make no mistake ! Western Union Transfers can be picked up virtually anywhere in the world and with the minimum of identification. They are almost impossible to trace once the money has been collected. You will never get to see the accommodation or your money again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment by Western Union before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
