If you have posted any ad for sublease or for roomate on site like sulekha.com you ll receive message as follows.

Then they will send a check in your name with decent amount about $3500 and ask you to keep rent amount and send the remaining amount via money gram to the address.

When you deposit the check into bank next day it would show up in your account. And they will follow up with you and ask you send the money immedietely. And later you come to know after 3 days that check was fake and bounced.

Beaware of such scammers and do not trust them for whatever they say. They are very well trained and try best to make them believe.

Thanks a lot . i received the same kind of mail . Luckily i searched the number thinking its a scam as they were not calling me & communication only through mail. Thanks a lot for this forum/page ..saved me really
