Rental Scammer - [email protected]

Thank you for your interest in my apartment located in 4497 Avenue Papineau, QC H2H 1T9. The apartment is in excellent condition and it's just like in the pictures, very clean and very well taken. Honestly from point of view I'm sure that you will rent it on spot. I'm not looking to make a business or a profit with the apartment, I'm just trying to find a good and trust person to take good care of the place. The apartment has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. It is furnished but if you want you can use your furniture and deposit mine in the storage unit that is located near the building not far away. The rent is 870 CAD/month with everything included (heat, hydro, water, electricity, cable and internet-full package, 2 parking spots, laundry in-suite, washer and dryer). You will have full access to all the amenities of the building. Pets are allowed. I stayed in the apartment with my wife for 3 months. I'm a civil engineer and I work for a company that has an auction for a project in construction in London, United Kingdom, so my accommodation period in England will be about 4 years. Everything in the apartment is new so there will be no need for repairs.

Hello I just received the same email. Unfortunately I did provide some personal information but no money. I have notified louer.com, Canadian fraud protection and the Quebec RCMP. I hope someone can stop this guy. It is disappointing we live in this reality.

I should mention it was also for 4497 papineau ave Montreal and he is using the name David kawalec. It is listed on the louer.com site under 4497e.

I am really Thankful that all of you posting these. It seems Like he is scamming Canada-wide. I had doubt when I got his emails, but I still trusted him 60% and told Him about myself. This is what the asshole wrote:

Yep I just got the below reply today. I have reported a complaint to louer.com, aol, Canada scam association, Quebec RCMP and next I think I will write the global mail and montreal gazette. I would kindly request that I think all of us should complain to RCMP in your respective area and local papers. I too gave him too much information and think he is a bad person.

where and how and to who should I report this, I posted a kijiji ad about him for the edmonton region and i would advise everyone that gets them for different regions do the same!!!!
Please tell me where else i can report this! thanks!

Knew it was too good to be true!

You can also report the email to your local police or RCMP, although if the scammer is out of country, there's not much you can do.

I actually told him I would forward him the money so see if he would send me his banking information.
I work for TD and will be reporting a scam tomorrow.

I thought it was old that he wasn't answering my questions directly just speaking like an advertisement.

I found the ad on Kijiji, I know the building and there isn't any parking there. 10024 Jasper Av in Edmonton. He had also listed a one bedroom for $640 in the same building. How do we report this guy.

Im so glad I found this page. I found an ad on Kijiji Toronto by the same guy and the email that he sent said the exact same thing. He was advertising for a condo at 18 Yonge Street, Toronto at a really cheap price. It seemed too good to be true so I got my friends to help look into it and found this page. I thankfully didnt send any personal information but I do feel bad for those who may have transferred money. I hope this guy gets caught.
