Hello folks! I fell in the same scam a week ago. Her name was Hillry Tipton ([email protected]) and she gave me the same address of her mom..Ebony Epperson in New Orleans. The rental room was at this address: 414 E 74th St New York, NY 10021, USA
I trusted her because she sent me some amateur photographs of her and also a scanned copy of her passport (which is obviously stolen). After a long conversation we had I went to the bank to make the security deposit and after 6-8 hours the same day I saw this page about Ebony Epperson's scams. When I made the deposit she sent me a message that everything was alright...but...there was a little problem and that I had to deposit more money because her mom was uppset! Here's what she wrote:
When I saw this, I respond in a bad way about herself and her mom and she told me that he will sue me!!! lololol! Can you believe the nerve of this person?
Anyway...I was very unlucky cause I saw this page hours after my deposit.
Just for the story, the conversation we have was similar with these that you've already posted. Copy - paste all the way through.
Careful of these scammers folks! You never now...

I want you to that my mom has picked up the fund but she was angry with me in the sense that there was another person that has been in contact with her and the person want to pay for both the security deposit and the 2 month lease upfront.I told her that i have already have a legal binding contract with you and besides i prefer to live with you to any other person.
Also, i am very happy to let you that the room will now be available for you by the last week of may.You will have to make the $200 first the last week of May together with the $700 .for the month of June making the total deposit now to be $900.She now said i should tell you to pay for the first month lease together with the $200 for last week since i insisted that i want you to be my flatmate and no other person.
The lease has been adjusted to include the $900 you will be making now making the total deposit now to be $1700.
Please go ahead and make the deposit to my mom bank account,in the UK, i forwarded to you .After you make the deposit,let me have the scan copy of the deposit slip as you did the last time.
I regret whatever inconveniences this might have caused you.I look forward to read the details from you my future flatmate''
