Hello,
Thanks for the response and you sound very responsible. The apartment is available for long term or short term, moreso i will like to have you as my tenant but presently i am not in Luxembourg, I just relocated abroad recently. I decided to to move with my family. Briefly about me i am a business man and deals with exportation of electronics from different parts of the world.I spend most of my time traveling here and there. I have no one there that i trust to leave my keys and properties with due to my past experience with friends and agent because i don't like how they treat tenant and properties while i am not around. I decided to lock up the apartment, so i have the keys here with me. Although i did not intend to rent it out but as my wife advise we should not just lock up the flat for long since we have moved from there. So we decided to rent it out with the help of my lawyer. You will be living in my apartment alone they are all private use to you alone,am sure you will love it. you can bring in your cat
For you to get the place reserved we will both sign a rental agreement contract which will be prepared by my lawyer then i will post the keys of the apartment and the payment receipt to you via DHL express (overnight delivery ) after your deposit payment which is your first month rent and the security deposit has been confirmed.
Get back to with the following information so that i can forward it to my lawyer to prepare the rental agreement contract.
Your full name
Your Gender
Your nationality
Your date of birth
Your passport ID number
Your phone number
Your move in and move out date
Your current address that i can send the keys to
I will be waiting for the details
Regards,
Andrew
This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union, MoneyGram or bank transfer with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.
Sounds safe. It's not!
At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.
In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.
All the details such as names, addresses, pictures etc. that the scammer uses in order to back up his story, are stolen from elsewhere.
If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
