Rental Scammer - [email protected]

I'd like to report the a scam from a room rental posted on Craiglist. I know Craiglist is sketchy but I wasn't finding any rooms and was getting quite desperate. BIG MISTAKE!

Anyhow, this was the final email they sent me:

HOWEVER,AFTER I RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION THAT YOU HAVE TRANSFER THE PAYMENT TO MY MOTHER I WILL SEND THE SIGNED AGREEMENT/CONTRACT FORM TO YOU VIA ATTACHED EMAIL OR FAX WHICH YOU WILL ALSO HAVE TO SIGN AS WELL AND BRING ALONG WITH YOU WHEN COMING DOWN HERE,THEN WE HAVE A CONTRACT IN FORCE.

To make things worse, I was foolish enough to send a pdf file of my passport. The good thing is that all my Facebook twitter Google+ is set to high security. But I am afraid that they might have used the profile pics that was visible.

Should I take down my profile picture and upload a temporary photo with the following text:

WARNING! If anyone has come to my page
because of an apartmenet/room to rent
It's NOT me!
Someone is using my identity to scam people.


Or should I just keep my profile picture as it is......

Am Sarah ,am 23 years old, My father owns the flat but is now late ,i live alone in the flat, Am a professional, I have been pretty busy , am from Ireland and i moved here 2years ago after the death of my father to oversee my late fathers property.

The flat has 3 rooms ,One is for me and the other Two is available for rent.

The room has the following amenities:

The room has a very big bed that can sleep two people with
Television connected to cable
Small refrigerator apart from a big freezer in the kitchen
Private bathroom with toilet drawer
Reading desk
Wall cupboard
Internet connection

The Apartment has the following Amenities:

Washing Machine
Heater
Dish washer
Storage
A big living room fully furnished with a television connected to cable
Internet facility .

The transport facilities is quite okay in the area, the flat is very close to train station and public transport.

The rent per month is 400 Euros and a security deposit of 600 Euros ,The security is refundable, at the end of your stay in my flat, the security deposit will be refund back to you, The rent include all bills and bills are for Water , Electricity , tenement rate ,phone ,heater,Internet connection.

I will send to you some pictures of the room and the rental agreement form to see what next to do, hope you understand me? Thanks once again for the interest in my room while waiting to read from you.
