Congratulations!!
How are you doing? We are very happy to hear back from you and how clear you have made it to us that you are going to take good care of the apt. I will not ask any further questions because of my wifes interest to give you the apartment...when I told my wife about you she was very excited that we are going to have somebody like you as our first tenant. This is our first time renting our property.

We highly appreciate the high level of serious on the apartment. However, utilities are included, (gas, water and electricity) dogs and cats are ok..The rent is a long term rent.To Inspect the apartment you will have to go there with the keys and the authorization letter.

You will have to make a deposit of $890 which is refundable.Once you have the keys & document and you dont like the aparment i will refund your deposit back.I will ship you the keys & documents via FEDEX ( express package, which will take less than 2day to get to you).Because we can just keep shipping the keys and documents back and forth , we have decided to ship keys and documentation to you once you agree to pay the Deposit which is refundable.Kindly email back with the reconfirmation of the address where keys and documentation will be shipped to.

As soon as your address is received I will go ahead and send you the payment information to have the shipment cost sent and have the keys and document shipped to you immediately payment is confirmed. ...Why the arrangement is like this is because of the act that we have had a student who wanted to rent the apartment and when I wanted to ship the keys, on getting to the FedEx office.. I called her number just to correct the address she gave , only for her to tell me that she had found an other apartment and paid a day before...without notifying me. I felt bad because if I had not called I would have sent my keys and relevant document out .

Because of this, we decided to receive payment of from any serious tenant before shipping. If the keys and document will be shipped, it is left for you to email the address where would be convenient to ship them.

God bless you as you do so.

Regards
Dr.Luis

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union, MoneyGram or bank transfer with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

All the details such as names, addresses, pictures etc. that the scammer uses in order to back up his story, are stolen from elsewhere.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
