Thanks for your interest in my unit. I got a contract job in an engineering company for a construction project as part of the structural engineers to build a high-rise building in London, United Kingdom. I am a building tech specialist, so my accommodation period in England will be about 4-5 years and that's the reason why i am renting out the unit. I am readily in UK and I do not intend to make profit out of the unit rental all i want is to find a good and clean person to take good care of the place. I`m the owner of the unit and it is furnished but you can bring your furniture and help keep mine in the storage locker which is situated both in the unit and in the building and these does not attracts any funds.

The monthly rent that am requesting for is $700 and the rent is to service the bills which includes all utilities (water, electricity, Internet, heat, cable etc.) the monthly rent you will be paying includes all this and they will be taken care of as soon as you pay your rent.

Everything in this unit is functional and in good working condition. Once you started staying in the unit and there is any case of repairs which is as a result of normal faults like leakages, you will get in touch with me and i will get it fixed, i am in possession of the keys to the apartment which makes hard for you to view the unit. The thief will tell you that you can rent his accommodation only if you can prove that you have genuine interest. He will ask you send money by wire transfer (normally Western Union) to yourself or a member of the family to show that you have sufficient finances and that you are not a "time waster".

Another variation of this scam is that you need to send (by Western Union) money in order that the keys and other documents can be couriered to you

He will ask you to send him the transfer details.

Make no mistake ! Western Union Transfers can be picked up virtually anywhere in the world and with the minimum of identification. They are almost impossible to trace once the money has been collected. You will never get to see the accommodation or your money again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment by Western Union before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
