Good evening Michelle

My name is Stefana Baronne, i work as a development engineer for KDC Projects, headquartered at Bournemouth International Airport on the south coast of England.
6 months ago, my stepfather died and having no other family except me, i inherited his apartment on 16 Piazza Rondanini, Roma, 00186, Italy. I have tried to sell it but due to financial crisis, the prices are very low and people are rarely interested in buying. This is why i decided to rent it, for a limited period of time, up to 4 years.
Tariff per month is 550 euro including bills (water, electricity, garbage, wifi, cable TV). The apartment is fully furnished and has: 1 bedroom, a living room, bathroom, kitchen and has 60 m2.
The only problem is that, not having relatives in Rome and being unable to leave work, i can not come to show you the apartment in person.

Though I've found a solution for this inconvenience, so that you can move in in no time.

Thanks.
Stefana Baronne

P.S: I will appreciate a reply in English, if it is possible. Thank you!

Hello Josha
Nice to hear from you so quickly!

Yes, you can rent the apartment for 4 months. The minimum period for renting the apartment is 3 months up to maximum 4 years.

The apartment is ready for you, you just need to receive the keys and the contract to check it and see if you agree! So, I found a way for us to safely conclude the deal. You will receive the keys and papers in less than 3 days. Regarding the monthly payment I want to receive it in my bank account, so I hope it won't be a problem for you. No one could help me show you the apartment because I don't know the neighbors at all.
The solution I've chosen is using Moneybookers services. Using their services, we will close the deal safe and fast without assuming any risk. I would like to know more details about you...your age, your occupation, so that I can get to know you better, because it is important for me to know who will live in my apartment.
Finally I request for a 2 months deposit (1 month warranty + 1 month of rent)!

Thank you and if interested I'll explain more about the way we are going to conclude this!

Best regards

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union, MoneyGram or bank transfer with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

All the details such as names, addresses, pictures etc. that the scammer uses in order to back up his story, are stolen from elsewhere.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
