All you need to pay to secure or hold the chosen dates will be $800 and you will receive the $200 security deposit during your departure time via cash.

It is on the 3rd floor, and the Apartment features:- Queen size bed in the bedroom, sofa bed , CD Player & DVD Player, Iron & ironing board, Kitchen, Gym, Laundry Facilities, Microwave, pots, coffee maker, 2 split samsung air conditioner, heater, Shower, Telephone,sofa bed, Television, wifi.

Building Features:- It is located at: 3710 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33140, Newly renovated building, 24-hour security service and Doormen, Sun deck, Fitness center, Pets permitted, .Parking garage, High speed internet ,Laundry service available.

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union, MoneyGram, pre-paid credit card or bank transfer with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

All the details such as names, addresses, pictures etc. that the scammer uses in order to back up his story, are stolen from elsewhere.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.

If it wasn't for this forum, I too would possibly be a Victim right now. This person is still out there actively attempting to scam more innocent people and is currently on "craigslist.org". The email was sent with an attachment asking to fill out personal information and it contained the following message coming from email address "[email protected]":

I have attached the booking form and i will commence with the apartment reservation and book as soon as you send the deposit of $322.5. I do want you to send the deposit to my Accountant via Western Union, its more easier, faster and money will be available In Minute, here is her details below:

Is there any way to stop this person who goes by the name of "Michael Coggossi" and shut down the website I mentioned before someone else falls victim?

I was almost scammed today!! the first tip was the LARGE amount they wanted when everyone else was about $99 to hold a place. The second was the WESTERN UNION ! I just sent an email to MICHAEL HECTOR to tell him I was reporting him and notifying everyone I can about his scam.

This scammer also accepts Paypal, using the details below..
