Hi,

Thanks for the email and am sorry for late response. Yes the House is still available and will only be given out to the right person that will take very good care of the place. I have really decided to give out the house as a result of my transfer to West Africa i will be giving out the house for $700 with a security deposit of $700. I need to inform you as well that money is not the major reason why am renting it out but want someone who can take care of it as if he/she owns it. So let me know as soon as possible if you can take good care of it, so that we can discuss the rent further. Pets are allowed.

I initially wanted to sale the house before but, i changed my mind and decided to rent it out because the economy is bad and it has also affected the housing market, we gave it to a Realtor to manage for us before but due to their bad charter they are not trustworthy the amount they post the house is not the amount we instruct them to rent it out, we are just using this house as help to rentals. We might decide to sale in the future but for now we are just renting it out It's a nice neighborhood and there me here in West Africa.

I know there is no way I can be sure that you are the right person to live in the house but I just had a feeling that anyone who knows what it takes to put the kind of structure down should know that maintaining a building is mandatory. I will make arrangement on how to send the keys and the house documents to you so that you can possibly occupy the house, so if you believe you can take good care of the house and handle it like yours then i will be more than happy to let you rent the house.

Here is the address of the house (3854 S Hobart Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90062).

I await your reply,

Jaime Felife.

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union, MoneyGram, pre-paid credit card or bank transfer with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

All the details such as names, addresses, pictures etc. that the scammer uses in order to back up his story, are stolen from elsewhere.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
