I have been in contact with a so called Coullias Livia (email address [email protected]) who has an apartment to rent in Copenhagen. I originally found her on the JustLanded website. From here she sent me a copy of her passport, and three photographs of herself. She then proceeded to tell me that she would right up a contract asap (despite not asking anything about me at all). I received the contract which is detailed and like the ones we have in the UK. However I got several demanding messages saying if I want the room I must pay first months rent and deposit now and to her mother in London. I looked her up on facebook, and there she is, with exactly the same three photo's she sent me only. I traced the IP address of the first email, and it was located in Lagos, Nigeria. I then registered on Craigslist, only to be contacted about the exact same apartment with the same photos, only this time by someone under the name of Less Lisa (email [email protected]). Its therefore clearly a scame, although a well made one with a facebook account, well researched contract, passport and photographs.
