Room for Rent and other rental scams
by ohgeewhiz2010 Sun Jan 19, 2014 1:48 pm
Hello All.... I replied to a rental ad for a house and when investigating the deal, which seemed a little weird, I Googled the phone number that the guy had given me. It directed me to your site and a post by one of the moderators with the same exact letter the guy sent me. There was a little application that didn't reveal much that I filled out and sent in. I was accepted to rent this guys house and now he wants me to send money through Western Union. He keeps texting me because I didn't tell him yet that I know the scam.
Anything I can do to help catch this guy? If anything, i'd like to know how to respond now that I know. Please let me know if you want more info from me.

Thanks
