I should have trusted my gut and several warning signs but regretfully, $1100 later I've been scammed by a guy named Dickson Mackey and his alleged Peter Tseng who were renting a flat in Singapore.

Here's a long thread of our communication removing my emails to him. I received a canceled check from my bank but have heard nothing since except additional requests for the payment to be made again through Western Union.

Is there anything I can do beyond warning others? Should I report this to my local authorities etc?
