I used this agency to rent apartment in Ireland. Owner is from UK so she offered me ImmoPortal as a
good rental agency to go through agreement.
I sent 3 days ago payment on ImmoPortal account.

Is any chance to get my money back???
What should I do???
by wolfull Sat Jun 21, 2014 3:45 pm
That's the same e-mail which I received from them:

Hello,

I just read your e-mail regarding my apartment located in 46 Middle Abbey Street, Dublin 1. It has 2 bedrooms, 1 living room, 1 kitchen and 1 bathroom. I bought the apartment while working on a 3 year contract in Ireland, I am constructor engineer and i am from UK ( British Citizen) so i decided to rent it. Before we go any further I would like to know a little something about you, like how many persons you intend to live in the apartment, and for how long.
The flat is exactly like in the pictures, fully furnished and renovated. Also, very important, the utilities Tv/electricity/bin charges are included in the price of 850 euro /month. Security deposit is also 850 euro , and you get it back, when you decide to leave the apartment (you will have to give me at least 30 days notice). As for me, you can rest assured that I will never ask you to leave the apartment. You can use my furniture, or you can also use your own if you prefer. If you decide to use yours, you will have access to a very large and well ventilated cellar, where you can store my furniture.
You can move in to the apartment on the same day that you receive the keys. The only inconvenience is that my job doesn't allow me to leave London even for one single day, but i have a solution for that if you are still interested.

Thank you for your interest and I look forward to hear from you soon.

What should I do now???
by Bryon Williams Sat Jun 21, 2014 3:52 pm
Its highly unlikely you can get your money back if you sent it three days ago.

What method of payment did you use? Was it bank account, Western Union or Moneygram?

Bank account. I paid in local branch on Wednesday morning. I have proof of payment.
Should I go to Garda station no Monday or call to fraud department in Ulster Bank???
I was so silly and now I don't know what to do.
Lost lots of money :(
by Bryon Williams Sat Jun 21, 2014 4:14 pm
Yes, report it to the bank, your local police and you will want to call the banks fraud dept as soon as possible. You can even report it to Action Fraud. http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/

You can post the bank account that you paid into on here for others to see.
