However, if you are ready to rent the place now, that will not be a problem but we will advice you due to a responsible and reliable person like you should be able to afford the First 1 month rent and Security deposit which is 800 euros.We would like to send the following document to you via DHL to the address you provided to me and the tracking number will be sent to you so that you can possible occupy my Home immediately as soon as I confirm the payment.

Once again,We are giving you this on trust and do not disappoint us and we promise you that you will love the Home.There is a garage in the home also there is a large storage room in our home.Also the requirements for move-in is first 1 months rent and Security deposit of 800 euros which needed asap by me for me to send down the keys and document to you .. it is okay if you are renting for a short period of time or a long period of time.

1)Entrance and the room Keys

The thief will tell you that you can rent his accommodation only if you can prove that you have genuine interest. He will ask you send money by wire transfer (normally Western Union) to yourself or a member of the family to show that you have sufficient finances and that you are not a "time waster".

Another variation of this scam is that you need to send (by Western Union) money in order that the keys and other documents can be couriered to you

He will ask you to send him the transfer details.

Make no mistake ! Western Union Transfers can be picked up virtually anywhere in the world and with the minimum of identification. They are almost impossible to trace once the money has been collected. You will never get to see the accommodation or your money again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment by Western Union before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.

I'm really glad that you posted this message. Actually I found an apartment's offer from Tammie Eliot in Craiglist (renting flats and rooms) and we emailed each other to have more details. The problem is that since the beginning I thought everything was really strange. And when I read the message this person sent it to you, it was exactly the same. Of course, I didn't send the money and I'm going to send a message to craiglist to explain exactly what happened. This thief is really an idiot, cause he/she wrote the same message and was renting his/her flat for 400 euros in a place where every appartment is very expensive in Paris. Besides, of course I would visit the address indicated in his/her previous email to check if there is his/her mailbox. What an idiot!
