Girlfriend and I were looking for an apartment to rent and encountered this. We were a little suspicious because the same poster on Craigslist Canada was posting other rental apartments for rent at the same time. We couldn't find a hit on the email address with google but the search on the phone number turned up your post
Again, thanks for the heads-up. The email was remarkably similar, note the different email address from yours.
Here's a copy of the email we got when we made an enquiry:

I’d have actually left it vacant, but my wife advised that I must rent it out. It's one bedroom & one bathroom, furnished, electricity, water and Parking space are included in the monthly rent. The rent, which includes all utilities is $700 per month. A Refundable damage deposit of $700 will be paid alongside the rent before you move in. I will like you to tell me about yourself because I am interested in knowing your capability of funding the rent and taking care of my apartment.
