Room for Rent and other rental scams

Just placed an ad on Craigslist for a room for rent and was inundated with scammers. Luckily I used a disposable email address which I can discard at any time.

I deleted most of them, but here are two:

Hey, I am Interested in your place,please let me know if it still
available for rent...i will be glad if you can send me pics and details
of the place including the time frame when it will be available. Kelly

Thank you for reporting. "Kelly Benson" has been fairly active lately:
http://www.scamwarners.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=5972&start=0 Interestingly, the exact text shows up in a scam dated all the way back to 2008.

I'm assuming you flagged the second as a scammer since the response is clearly generic and inappropriate for the ad. I agree the response is in line with a typical craiglist scammer. In this case, since the email came from yahoo, we may be able to extract a location from the email headers, which would provide a clearer picture. Could you post the headers (your email address removed) so we can show this information?
