Hello, new to the site here. I receive daily a bombardment of mail offering online sex and dating. I don’t know why I’m being targeted as I have never gone to these types of sites. I’m female and get a lot of mails offering men online sex and dating the worst one is from HRSB or HCRB they mix up the letters to make it look like it’s from a bank at a quick glance. I delete them as I don’t open the content as I think I would just encourage more of the same type of mail. And then occasionally I receive a mail to opt out of receiving further mails as if I had joined their mailing list which I know I hadn’t. I’m a mother of a young child and I don’t want these mails being seen by my child if they are opened by my child. I had opened one of the mails to unsubscribe which just led to being bombarded by even more.
I don’t wish to delete my email account as there are personal mails on it that I wish to keep and I use it to keep in contact with friends, family and colleagues. It’s like having to change your mobile phone and informing everyone of the number change, you end up loosing contact with those that you don’t have frequent contact with.
Is there any way I can stop these junk mails coming through without changing my email account?
Thank you in advance
