Is it a scam?

I just received a message in ins which claimed that the account is a private account of Leonardo Dicaprio. He invited me to chat on Whatsapp and began to ask me about the bank account. I refused to talk about the bank account and he texted me some very strange and bewildering text. I suspect that this is a fraud and already reported this account on ins. Is this really a scam and how could I distinguish a scam?

It's a definite scam. Anyone on the internet who asks you for money or asks you for personal details such as bank accounts or passwords is always a scammer.
