Scam invitations to non-existent conferences

This Conference Scam claims to be hosting the (NON-EXISTENT) Urban Environmental Pollution and Water Management Conference - UK .

This fake conference is "scheduled" to be held at the NON-EXISTENT Quality Palace Hotel, London, United Kingdom.

This scam's fake websites ( http://uepwmc.com/index.htm and http://uepwmc2012.com ) and the fake hotel website ( http://qualitypalacehotel.com/index.html ) are in the process of being suspended.

The fake conference claims the following contact information:

Dr. Steve Richard
Conference Chairman
25,Gresse Street, W1T 1QW
London, Greater London, United Kingdom.
Tel: +44 (0) 702 405 2816
Fax: +44 (0) 7005 938 426
E-mail: [email protected]

This FAKE CONFERENCE offers "Free" airline tickets to/from the conference in London. The scammers require advance hotel payment (for a non-existent hotel) in exchange for the "free" airline tickets that do not exist.

This is what the FAKE CONFERENCE claims, "We offer free registration to all delegates from developing countries as well as free air ticket, travel insurance, visa fees and per diem for all paper presenters and participating delegates."

Hi,
Yes, this is a fake conference!!!!
I paid the reservation at their fake hotel: 1500 euro!! After this, nobody answered to me!
If someone knows any possibility on how to get my money back, please let me know.
I am really disperate, because I am from a poor country, and I made big effort to pay in advance...!

Welcome to ScamWarners simon2012. I am sorry to tell you that your money is gone. Scammers have their victims pay by Western Union or some other money transfer service. They do this because there is almost never any way to get your money back. Once the scammer has picked up the funds, there is no way to reverse the transfer.

Ig disgusts me that scammers have no concern about taking money from people who cannot afford to lose the money. Please feel free to ask before sending money in advance.

We recommend not sending money to anyone you do not know personally before they ask you to send money. I wish I had better news for you.

Bubbles, former Scamwarners moderator.

Rest in Peace 24 June 2015.

Gone, but never forgotten.
