by beccawaldmann Fri Jul 10, 2015 4:11 am
Hello

I am searching for an aupair job, got a replied from Mr. Thomas Kinsey from Baltimore Maryland USA ([email protected])

Or the agency [email protected]

After reading everything saying on the internet, here, about scammers... I got afraid!

So before that I do a payment of 600 USD. I want to know if someone knows this guy?

The processing fee cost 1,500 US DOLLAR ,You are expected to shoulder the processing fee but the host family is wiling and ready to shoulder 60% on your behalf while you shoulder the remaining 40% remaining to enable the processing commence immediately
You will have to email the travel agency so that you can have the fill list of the necessary information's and requirements you need to pass for the processing of your flight documents there contact email mailing address is ([email protected]) they get back to you immediately

Do get back to me as soon as you email them so that i can discuss more better with them about you, also to pass any information's they need from me to them.

Awaits your soonest responses
Regards

So what should I do? :?
If someone have been contacted by him, (normally he already found me so the answer would have been no :| )

It is definitely a scam - there are only a small number of agencies in the US who are authorised by the State Department to sponsor au pairs and none of them would be using a free Outlook email address. Please check the sticky thread in our au pair forum for full details and a link to the US State Department website where the details of the authorised agency are given.

The first stage in any au pair application for the USA would be a face to face meeting with a representative of the agency in your country - if that is not arranged or the contact details of the "agency" do not match what is on the State Department website, then you are dealing with a scammer.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.

I contacted the agency, and when I said that I won't do money gram, they say that a bank transfer is also possible. "They have problems with their website, so they have this mail until they fix the website"
If they accept bank transfer, are they really scammers?

You contacted the scammer that is playing all roles in this scam. The problem with their website is it has been reported for fraud.

As you were already told it is a scam.

No one here is going to tell you anything different.

Yes, Bank accounts are used in scams. If you send money there is no way to get your money back. Scammers prefer Western Union/Moneygram over this method.

You must be confronting the scammer.

Please contacta moferatorstor if you have a question or information about this post.

Please do not tell the scammer he is posted here.

I thought that bank transfers are safer than moneygram. Isn't it?

And how do I do confronting him?
Asking him gently if he is a scammer?

Not if you are sending the money to a scammer in a different country - once the money is transferred you will not be getting it back.

I told you in my previous post that he was a scammer and no matter what lies he tells you, that is not going to change. You confronted him and accused him of being a scammer and he is trying to convince you he is not by giving you a bank account.

Please PM the bank details you were given to Bryon or one of the other Moderators (names in Green) and they will report it to the authorities for fraud. Then stop all communication with the scammer - do not respond to any of his mails.

I suggest that you give up on whatever au pair websites you registered on and visit the State Department website and contact one of the real agencies listed there and arrange to start the process of becoming an au pair with them.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.

The quotation in your first post shows that he is African. People who work in American au pair agencies do not write like West Africans without higher education. He is a scammer.

Legitimate agencies of any sort do not ask for payment by MoneyGram. The agency is a scammer.

Please send the bank account details to a mod. We have a system in place for reporting them to banks.

Ignore all further messages from the scammer.

I will take it a step further.

If you have not applied to be an au pair through one of the agencies listed on the official US government's website, AND been interviewed, in person, in English, by a representative of that agency, then you don't need to do any research on any offer you receive. EVERY offer you receive to be an au pair in the US will be a scam.
