Thank you for your message and we appreciate your effort concerning talking to Host Family (Aaryn Haden). Au Pair Seeker Agency in Australia helps both the Host Family and the Au Pair prepare for 6-month to 1-year Au Pair placement, including an Orientation for the Au Pair upon arrival in Australia and comprehensive placement literature for the Host Family.
Australia does not have an official Au Pair or Nanny Program. Therefore, in order to work in Australia as an Au Pair or Nanny there is a Working Permit Program or Work and Holiday Program Visa (Subclass 417) or (Subclass 462) which allow a person aged 18-30 to go to Australia and work for 12 months and option for another year depending on the Host Family.
These programs allow you to live with your Host Family in exchange for room, boards and stipends. The main priority of a successful applicant will be to take care of the kids and should also have free time to study and enjoy life in the Australia.

There won't be problem processing your Travelling Documents. Processing will take up to 2 weeks at maximum efficiency and delay depends on you (Au pair) and Host Family.
In order to go to Australia under the Working Holiday Program, an Au Pair must be a National of one of the following countries: Belgium, Bangladesh, Canada, Chile, Republic of Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Republic of Ireland, Italy, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malta, Malaysia Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand Turkey, United Kingdom, and the USA.
Basically, The Australian Work and Holiday Program is available for Au Pairs
Salary: Nothing specified by government: Negotiable between Au Pair and Host Family
(Pocket money.): Mostly negotiable or between (100-150) AUD per week
Number of hours to work and days off: Au pairs in Australia usually work between 20-40 hrs/week and usually get 2(two) days off per week
Duration of stay: An au pair/Nanny can work in Australia for up to 12 months with option of another year.
Language requirements: There are no language requirements for Australia but it is suggested that an au pair have a good understanding of English, the national language of Australia.
Medical/Health Insurance: Before or when you arrive which cost like 1000-3000 AUD. The Host Family must pay a health insurance for the Au Pair. It is advisable that the Au Pair affects an Accident Insurance and third party insurance for the stay.
Travel costs: Travel costs to Australia should be covered by the Host Family.
The arrival package for au pairs included a 3 day orientation:
Airport pick up, transport to hostel accommodation in central location for 2 nights incl. food.
Day 1 is the Arrival day, Jetlag recovery plus free time for sightseeing.
Day 2 - presentation about ‘life in Australia’ + free time for sightseeing
Day 3 – onward travel to host family
This package for the au pair also includes:
