Hello pndora22, and welcome to ScamWarners. I'm not familiar with that email address, but if you would like to post the email in which James Mark describes his family and the au pair position, we should be able to tell from that whether or not it is a scam.

hello, I have also been contacted by [email protected] . And I really am suspicious. this was what he sent me when I wrote him back.

"we are going through Aupair/nanny search and we came across your email and page.We are a cheerful, friendly family in London uk .we have two happy and affectionate kids,

Richard (8) and Kim (10) who attend the local school between 9and 3.00 every day. Richard likes playing with trains, drawing, playing on the computer and garden swing, and

riding his bike. Kim wants to be a scientist when she grows up, and enjoys playing with Lego, art, reading comics, riding around on her scooter and playing with her new Nintendo Wii. We live in a very large modern family house with six bedrooms, four bathrooms.

Description of tasks:

We are looking for someone to get the children ready in the morning, prepare and clear up the family's breakfast at about 7.30am, make the beds, and take the children to school, which is about a 1.5km walk away. The au pair would then need to pick them up at 3.00 and look after them until we get home. We might ask the au pair to babysit 1-2 evenings a week. We have a really great cleaner, so there wouldn't be any heavy housework. There is a bit of light cleaning and laundry which would take about 90 minutes a day in total. There would be plenty of time free in the day to go to language school, and there are a lot of good ones in the area.

Living arrangements:

The au pair would have her own apartment with two rooms, separate toilet and bathroom, which is huge, and has a double bed, with sitting area and
TV/DVD/Video/Hifi. There is wireless broadband internet in the house. . You can even use one of our cars all weekend! Also 2 weeks are paid holiday during
Christmas/New Year plus another 2 weeks during the year. We are looking for someone with a good sense of humor. If you love children and could
help us provide a loving environment combining routine and fun for the children then we would like to welcome you to our family as a
friend and a big sister to our kids.Housework is not an important part of the aupair job, being part of our family and helping our
children develop and learn is the main thing. We are really flexible.

Working hours:
07.30 to 09.00 and 1500 to 1900 Plus about 60-90 minutes of housework a day to fit in with the aupair's schedule. Some Friday afternoons
off. Total 25-30 hours a week and the week ends will be free for her to do anything she will like to do for herself.

Benefits :
We will be paying you 2000 pounds for every four weeks.A pocket money of 350 pounds per week. And you will also be
having your own car.
You will will be able to study if you want and we are ready to support you, we will be able to help you secure a good college here in the UK

Other information:
The au pair would be part of the family, and we
certainly don't expect a servant! We have had lots of au pairs in the past,
and we are used to helping people get to know the area and make friends.

Regards"

I have told him I don't need a visa (because of coming from a EU country) and then he replied:

"its so nice to hear from you again and starting by August is a very good idea. You been an EU is also a best of ...just what we are looking for but you will need the British Insurance documents, medical report and health insurance with the British drivers license and so many other documents which is very important for you to have. so i still think you will need to speak with my wife for all these so that she can tell you all you need t5o provide and how much it will cost you with your flight ticket included."

Sorry for the long reading, but I really want to know if I can trust this person. Thank you for your help.!!!!

It's a scam.

The scammer initially planned to get money from you for a visa, but when you said you already had one, he was quick to make up another reason why he would need to ask you for money.

In the end, there is no job, only a scammer after your money.
