.this time they are looking for someone to London. Or maybe it's because I'm residing here.

These scams are emailed out in bulk, Targeting them at UK au-pairs while claiming to be in the UK wouldn't work as there's no scope for demanding fees be paid. You wouldn't need expensive visas, work permits, plane tickets, etc.
Only applicants from foreign countries would be considered. If you applied, you'd probably be given some sort of excuse for not employing you. I think I'll scambait him and find out what.

One stock reply as scammers rarely read a victim's first email. When I told him I lived close to 91 Macclesfield Street London, he didn't have the courtesy to reply.

Hi! I have registered as an au pair this month and i received this suspicious email like the ones i read here..just for everybodys information i have attached the email as well.

Subject : A GOOD AND CARING AUPAIR/NANNY IS NEEDED FOR MY TWO KIDS
Message : Hello Nanny, I am Marvel Parker and i am in need of a nanny because our nanny had to go back to her country cos her mother was very sick and her attention was needed, i got your email address on an aupair site, read your profile and i think you are just the perfect nanny we are looking for to be taking care of our kids for us. We have two kids Elizabeth and Frank, Elizabeth is 3 while Frank is 5 years old, i work at Dansis Insurance Company as the Manager and my Wife works at HSBC bank, we close very later from work and ever since our nanny left our kids have been staying with my mother and she stays about 2 hours drive but we will like our kids to be staying with us and that is why i am contacting you to know if you are interested in taking care of our kids for us while we are off to work, we stay in London on Berkeley street and here is our address 253 Berkeley street, Westminster, London, You will be staying with us so you don't have to worry about where you will be staying when you get here cos we leave in a big house that has lots of rooms and i am sure you will like our place and also your room, you will be having all the privacy you want so you have nothing to worry about, and about payment we will be paying you 400 pounds every week and that does not include you taxes cos we will be taking care of that and you will be free on Saturday's and Sunday's and you can go anywhere you like, I will be more than happy to have you working for us and i will be waiting to read your reply to know if you are ready to work for us. There's no need to do anything, apart from breaking off contact.
He asked for your details as that's what a real employer would do. His real objective is your money.

I'm quite sure that this is a scam, as the person incorrectly indicated where he got my e-mail from, and that his children saw me. Maybe others also had the same message. What do you think?

welcome to ScamWarners, unfortunately this is definitely a scam. Your best course of action is to ignore his emails and all those like it.

Now, I read a lot of these, so it's easy for me to see that the person who wrote this is not English and is probably West African. Things that you might want to look out for are travel agencies which use free webmail (hotmail, live, yahoo, etc), and rather high wages. £550 a week, plus expenses is way too much for an Au Pair. £550 a month seems slightly more realistic, but I haven't checked what real Au Pairs make, so I'm just pulling that figure out the air.
The fact that he doesn't address you by name is also a bit of a give away. He emails this same script to hundreds of people and personalising them is a bit too much like hard work.

I'm glad you found us before you got scammed; if you have any questions, or want us to check out other job offers for you, please ask.

That certainly has "Scam" written all over it. Can you post the scammer's email address and any phone number, so that search engines will find them?
If your in contact with your real life email address, I recommend that you stop. If you are baiting him, a bogus email account is safer. You may find our sister site www.419eater.com, of interest.
