The header for emails from "Andrew Dane" will not help you to find a location. This scammer used gmail. All emails sent using gmail.com will trace to gmail's headquarters in California, regardless of where the user is located.
As for the attorney? Country of Origin: Anonymous Proxy
As to the scammer's goal? It is definitely money, and he has already shown you how he is going to get there.
The scammer is trying to be clever by giving you partially true information:
He references Philippines in his email. Assuming you are from Philippines, it is true that you cannot get an au pair visa. However, this is not new--the country has been excluded from the youth mobility scheme all along.
This is where he crosses into complete lies:
You CANNOT work on a tourist visa. If you went to UK on a tourist visa and were caught working there, you would be immediately deported. A real attorney would never suggest you try such a thing. And au pairs fall under the Youth Mobility Scheme. There is NO such thing as a "full employment visa" that covers au pairs. In fact, no existing visa category comes even close. UK has eliminated unskilled worker categories entirely, which is where au pairs would fall if they didn't have their own category.
So the scammer is using a fake attorney to offer a visa that does not exist. The next step in this scam is to instruct you to pay fees for this imaginary visa and/or the documents you need to get it.

He also explained that the most convenient visa to be processed for you should be either a tourist or a full employment visa. But the most convenient and the best for me in terms of the procession duration and expenses should be the working visa because it also has a duration of 1 year.
