iratigirl6 Would you please post email addresses from this scammer.Yes it is a scam and will involve fake contacts such as a visa lawyer, a fake courier, and paying money via Western Union in advance.Never send money via Western Union and if anyone asks you to do so it is a scam. You cannot send copies of passports and fill in a form a scammer sent you by email to scan and send back. You can only use original documents and online forms via the Embassy of the country you wish to get to. There will be proper links to make secure payments and will not involve Western Union which Governments can not use anyway. As far as the letter you post goes I note it contains African English so someone in West Africa has contacted you to relieve you of your money. There is no job and no visa . Do not contact the scammer and tell him nothing and vanish. Block his email address so you won't have to bother. Watch out for more scams and they will always at some stage ask for Western Union or a MoneyGram transfer before you actuall get anywhere. If so vanish again. Hope this is what you wanted to hear.

iratigirl,

Please be patient. We are all volunteers here, and while we try to respond as quickly as possible, we do have other responsibilities that require our attention as well. In addition, some volunteers do travel on weekends.

With that said, Began Steele has already answered you above, so I am not sure why your latest post. It is 100% scam. The person writing you is African, not American. There is no job, only a scammer trying to steal your money for a job that doesn't exist. The scammer is also completely ignoring how the au pair hiring process works in the United States.

Began has asked you to post the email address the scammer is using, because they will be offering their fake job to others, and often potential victims will search for the email address being used.

E-mail : [email protected]?

so you said that this is not true?

Yes it is a scam and will involve fake contacts such as a visa lawyer, a fake courier, and paying money via Western Union in advance.

t is 100% scam. The person writing you is African, not American. There is no job, only a scammer trying to steal your money for a job that doesn't exist.

Yes a scam. Thanks for the information which others may find.
Watch out for more scams and they will always at some stage ask for Western Union or a MoneyGram transfer before you actually get anywhere. If so vanish again.

[email protected]? is not a company it is a free email address like hotmail etc. They just use it to trap victims. They could easily choose [email protected] or a more appropriate [email protected], except they woudn't use that last one because it would be true and scammers never tell the truth. Gmail is used as it hides the IP number which tells you where the scamme really is.
So if you see Western Union mentioned in any email sent to you, it is a scammer after money and so send nothing.

to me
Dear xxx, Mod edit: edited out name of poster. DJ

I am delighted to contact you on the offer of Au pair Job in United Kingdom.

We have not had Au pairs before but are peachy about sharing our life
with somebody who is looking to share cultures with us and to be a big
sister or brother to my only adorable son.

My name is Dr Jeffrey Roberts My son is an active growing baby, I’m
currently working full time here in London, however my circumstances
are changing slightly from this summer season as i will be working
full time and , including some nights and will need somebody at home
for son on average two evenings a week and sometimes at weekends.

I need someone to look after my son after school periods and when I am
late from work during the days or at weekends. This will involve
helping him do his homework, making dinner if I am not home and
supervising him getting ready for bed.

i need someone who is willing to spend some time with him During the
holidays I will need some help but usually on fewer days of the week,
perhaps taking him out for the day with the driver or dropping him off
to play in recreational centers with friends.

If you are able to help my son learns about your own culture and
language, that would be particularly nice and I will appreciate it.

You will be required to do a little house chores in the house and also
take in charge of the house when I’m not around for my son’s friends
visit.

You can contact us via [email protected]

You can add me on Skype for further discussion and negotiation

Hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks,

Dr Jeffrey Roberts

I don't know where you live rebellefleur13 but if you don't live in the EU (Europe) then I regret that you cannot work in the UK as an au pair.

This is a notice from the Philippine Embassy in London that will apply to all non-EU citizens.

http://embassy-finder.com/philippines_in_london_united-kingdom?page=120

Beware of emailed job offers for childcare and other similar positions in the UK. These are all frauds.

• Since November 2008, no visas are granted for household workers from outside Europe. Work visas are only granted for highly-skilled positions, most of which require university degrees.

• No legitimate employment agency in the UK requires you to pay them any money. All fees would be paid by the employer.

• No legitimate employment agency in the UK uses a free email address from Yahoo, Gmail, or similar services.

• No legitimate employment agency in the UK uses a telephone number that begins with +4470 (070). These are non-geographic numbers available to anyone in the world.

• No legitimate business requests payment via Western Union.

If the person knows that you live outside Europe, then he is a scammer. The mail is also not written in a style that would not be expected from someone educated as a UK doctor. He also uses some words and spellings that are not used in the UK.

Oh, I live in Europe. And I got one more email that I think it's a scam. Here it is.

to aluxinado, bcc: me
Dear Au pair,

My name is Marvin Williams and my wife and I are doctors, we are are a
family of three with our daughter Nora. We live on Lassell street in
London, UK.

The nature of our jobs do not give us the opportunity to spend as much
time as we want with our child and take care of her adequately, so we
have decided to seek for help by employing the service of an aupair.

We saw your profile on easyaupair.com and we are interested in
hiring your service to take care of our child and we resolved to
contact you.

Should you consider our request and decide to join our family, we
sincerely hope that your primary motivation will be to take care of
daughter to the best of your ability and with every diligence.

I know it might seem as if we ask for too much but our child means
everything to us so we really need the best hands, someone that will
be trust worthy and responsible enough to stand in for my wife and I
when we are not available.

We are really interested in engaging your services and we hope you
possess the right attitude and devotion to perform the duty that is
expected of you.

Please endeavor to send us your resume, we would like to know more
about you also send us some pictures of yourself and possibly that of
your family too.

And please feel free to ask us any question as regards whatever you
want to know about our family.

We hope to hear from you soon.

Thank you for your answer btw. TerranceBoyce

I'm suspicious of mail number two as well but it's better written than the first one. The problem is that these free sites are full of scammers and some of them are more experienced than others. I don't like mail number two because when it comes to caring for a child a photo of you, and also your family is a silly request when your experience and skills are much more important, and bearing in mind they claim to be doctors, you would expect them to be much more professional and interested in your abilities.

The most sensible thing for you to do would be to join an agency in your own country that you know supplies au pairs abroad. You are in a better position to find out how respectable and trustworthy they are and check up on their success. It may cost you money to join and take some courses in child care, but you can then allow them to find you real offers rather than swim in a sea full of sharks.

I doubt that a professional family in the UK will ever put their child in the care of a stranger without qualifications, and it's even less likely that a doctor would do that.

What ever you choose to do, keep in mind that as an EU citizen you do not need a visa or work permit to work in the UK. If any of these people tell you that you need to pay them for these documents then you know that they are scammers.

I'm Mrs Carmen Jackson, from NY, United States of America. I'm writing you on behalf of the entire family (my husband, our 2 children and I). Here is little about us. With us you find a family where unconditional love, peace and understanding reign. Our family do not like to judge a book by the cover or take gossip to determine who will be around. We always try to stay positive and find the best in anyone or any situation including the worst ones. My profile: I work as a sales manager at a walmart while my husband work as a civil engineer. How old? I'm 35years old of age. Why do we need your service? Due to the nature of my job, am not always around. I'll thereby need your service as a nanny for my kids. We are a social and fun to be with family looking for a enthusiastic aupair who adores children to spend their days enjoying their company. I will appreciate your response to know if you are interested.

Thanks
Carmen

I am grateful for your positive response. Allow me to explain more about your assign duty and also about us.
At first, we reside in 121 South Ave, Staten Island, NY 10303. A nice, quite and calm city. Where we live is just about 25 mins drive from the big city of New York. I am blessed with two lovely kids namely Ashley (she is 9 years old) and James (he his 7 years old)

What you are assign to do or I say your task as a nanny are as follows.
You'll be working 5 to 6 hours a day. You are required to prepare the kids for school and take them to and from school. (that is, take them to school and later go and pick them from school in the afternoon). Care for and stimulate the children both mentally & physically, to ensure their intellectual, physical and social development. Look after their physical well being, encouraging proper use of everything - wash and bath them, help them on how to dress and undress. You are required to spend time with the child, running errands, house cleaning and light cooking is a possibility, but not really a requirement. We prefer someone who will reinforce our desire to teach our children responsibilities and do not expect to undertake the children assigned tasks but instead to find ways to encourage them to complete tasks (I mean not to spoil the kids by doing everything for them).
On weekends (Saturdays) you'll take them out to new places such as beach and other recreational places (You are fully free on Sunday).

When we want you to start and how long.
We did not have a specific date or reference to when you can start. You can start anytime. We would like to have you for not less than two months. It will be nice if you want to stay longer, even if you want to stay for more than a year. Your happiness with us during your stay is more important.

What we plan to offer.
We will be giving you $400 per week (I hope that is enough since we will cater for your feeding. I mean you don't need to buy food from outside). You and the kids will be going for shopping once in 5weeks. We have internet facilities in the house for your use, a private room with your own bathroom. A private car for you in taking the children to and from school provided you know how to drive or willing to learn driving. Getting you a driver's license will not be a problem.

Our interest as a family.
Our interests include the zoo, doing yoga, watching soccer, water skiing, snow skiing, a walk in the park, play dates with friends, arts, literature, traveling, shopping, cinema and taking good care of our children. We love adventure, arts, traveling, soccer, literature, laughter and our wonderful children. My kids are very active wanting a partner to bounce and spin with them. I would want you convince me that you are capable of doing this job to my satisfaction. In a nutshell, we agree to be responsible for the purchase of your plane ticket. I will like to know if you have a working permit and a valid working visa that allow you work legally in Usa? I wait to read back from you soon.

Hello dear thanks so much for the message it is nice to read from you once again regarding what you said i think there is no problem regarding the time you we be free am ok with that but i we like to know maybe you have valid working visa to come over here get back to me soon to know if you have this thanks looking forward to hear from you soon
