ivanry ...your mom has received these e-mails ?

I have seen those same exact words a hundred times before.

Please tell her that this is a Visa Scam .... Internet Scammers quite often target the Indian Sub-Continent with this sort of thing.

There is no job ..... your mom is expected to pay for a Visa that she will never see, and if she pays anything then the scammer will just come up with a reason for a further payment.

Although the telephone number you have been given looks just like a UK number it will in fact divert to just about anywhere in the world.

The pay and conditions that are being offered are just too unbelievable to comment about.

This is a scam right??

Hello
My name is Thomaz Ludwig, I'm 39 years old, I have dual citzenship, Austrian by birth and British by naturalization. I have been living and working in the United Kingdom for over a decade now. I'm married to a British woman, Erika, she is 35 and we are both happily married with 2 daughters, Josephine, 4years old and Linda 2years old. We speak basically english among ourselves. I'm privately employed as Networking and Security computer analyst. My wife is an insurance executive here in London but she has stopped working at the moment. She was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer sometime in March and she has been on prescription medication since then. However, her health situation is deteriorating due to this illness and she has been advised by her personal doctor to go for intensive medical treatment for this thyroid cancer. In a week or two, she will be leaving for Germany where she will be receiving intensive medical care for at least 3 months so that she can at least return to her normal health status. A friend of the family who felt concerned and has already found a reliable aupair/nanny on the aupair website gave us your contact details. In the meantime, we need an energetic, responsible, warm and caring au pair/nanny to help take care of our two daughters. We need help in the morning to get them off to pre-school/kindergarden. Then help again from afternoon until bedtime. You will need to do their laundry and clean their rooms. Some ironing of clothing required as well. You DO NOT have to do any house cleaning (aside from kids rooms) as we have a part time housekeeper. You have your own private apartment within the house. No cooking required, only making snacks and drinks for the kids. You will have two days off a week, Saturdays and Sundays and your working hours is 40-45 hours per week. Your monthly salary is 2000 pounds while your weekly stipend is 250 pounds. The weekly schedule has fixed hours: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 7.00 am till 10.00 a.m. and from 4.30pm till 7.00pm. There will be some flexible hours as well on Friday afternoon and some evenings. We can work out the flexible schedule together, depending on the needs of the family and the preferences of the au pair or nanny. In between those hours you are free to attend whatever courses you may wish to. We ask to be helpful when it comes to do some laundry, running groceries and preparing the meals. There will be fixed tasks as cleaning up after diner and ironing children's clothes. We are a friendly, happy group and would love to welcome you to our home. We are looking forward to welcoming you in London and get to know you as a member of the family! We will help you find a hobby or other ways to get to know other people so you will be able to have a good time here. There are a lot of aupairs/nannies in the neighbourhood. If you are capable of this position, do not hesitate to send us an email with your previous experience and we will be happy to find out if you are suitable for our family. Find attached a couple of my family pics
Kind regards,

Welcome to Scamwarners.
Yes, both are scams,
Both quote free +4470 numbers which forward incoming calls to a phone anywhere in the world. They were useful for people on the move in the days before mobile phones, but nowadays they are widely used by scammers to convince people they are in the UK.
