Scams offering fake Au Pair positions

^^^
That is the nature of scammers. They are criminals whose only goal is to steal money from people. They are generally very good at what they do.
Would you please post an email that you received from the "family" and also one from the Barr Danielle Cohen? Please post the headers as well. We might be able to show you where the messages were sent from. Instructions for finding the headers are below.

To reiterate what the others have said: This is a definite scam, and you have not been in contact with a real family.

While many scammers make their intentions clear in the first email or two, it is not uncommon for some scammers to stay in contact for weeks or even months, sending emails that might look realistic, before they get to the money part of the scam. The truth is, their plan is still to scam you--it's just that they know their chances of succeeding are better if they are patient and allow enough time to convince you they are real.

You have not been emailing with a real family. Instead, the person emailing you is a scammer who uses fake names, stolen photos, and scripted, pre-written letters to lead you to believe you have a potential job, ultimately so that you will pay money to a fake "official." The fake official is either the same person, using a different email address (which is very easy to do) or a partner to the person sending you the emails from the "family" who will share the stolen money.

Yes, after checking my contract letter again I found a really bad mistake of the scammer. The signature of the lawyer and a stamp were pasted after. It's so obvious. I was so stupid to believe it.

Of course, I'm pasting all the mails I've received from them.

Thank you for posting those emails, TheWorriedOne. Scammers send identical or near-identical emails to all the au pairs who they are writing to, so it will be helpful for others to see that they received the same correspondence as you did.

It may be possible to copy and paste the fake contract that you were sent; or you may need to download it from your email account as an image file; or you may need to take a screenshot of it. Please make sure that your name and any other personal details are removed from the contract before you post it - if the contract is an image file, you may need to use a graphics programme to cover up your personal information. Then you can follow the instructions here to upload the image:

If you have any difficulties with this, I'm happy to help: you can PM me using the PM button on the right-hand-side of this post.
