LETTER OF OFFER

We would like to offer you the position of an Au pair/Nanny for a minimum period of 4-12 months (extendable if so desire). The terms and conditions of the job are as follows:

Hours

You will be required to work for approximately 35 hours per week, weekdays only (Mon to Friday). Weekends (Sat, Sun) will be work free, and can be spent with the family or anywhere else you prefer.

Accommodation:

You would have a Private Live-In Accommodation depending on your preference with Private Bathroom, Sitting Room and Bedroom. Salary

Start Date and Period of Employment

Discipline

Reasons which could give rise to disciplinary measures are as follows:

In the event of a need for disciplinary action, the procedure will be:

First - a verbal warning.

Second - a written warning.

Vacation

Also concerning the funds you are supposed to send back to my friend,I understand you dont have enough money for now so I will plead with Maureen to make up the remaining $150 on your behalf later this afternoon since you are now a new member of my family.

Unfortunately, as this scammer is using false names, and probably an internet café in which he can remain unknown to us, it is near-impossible to find out who he really is. But even if it was possible to discover his identity, it would be extremely unlikely that any further action could be taken - he lives in Nigeria, and it is very difficult to bring about legal action in other countries.

Therefore, the best thing we can do is to warn others about these scams and scammers by posting examples of their emails, and revealing the names and email addresses they use, so that all this information is displayed to anyone doing a Google search for information about the person/family they are in contact with. This really does prevent many people from being tricked into sending money to scammers.

Au Pair scammers often use more several fake names and different email addresses, and it is helpful for others to realise this, and see that identical emails are being sent out from different names. Therefore, it will be good if you can post the email address/es that 'William Gilbert' is using, so that anyone who is googlng that email address can come here and see that 'Richard Crawford' is also sending the same emails.

And, for yourself, now that you realise that William Gilbert is a scammer, please drop all contact with him immediately, and don't write to him, or talk with him on the phone anymore. He is a criminal, trying to steal your money.

When a scammer gives a name and location to receive a Western Union payment, this may be:

- The name and location of himself or of one of his friends/scamming colleagues; or

- The name and location of another of the scammer's victims, who he has tricked into receiving and forwarding money for him; or

- A totally invented name and location. In Nigeria and in many other countries, the scammer can often collect the money transfer at his local Western Union, just by providing the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN), even if that money has been sent to another name and to another country.

Therefore, payment details do not necessarily lead back to the scammer. It may be an invented name and location for collection - and, really, the scammer will collect the money himself, in his own country, simply by presenting the MTCN.

again i received one call from titan travels this morning and i am posting this scam email to alert all people who are trying to get a job there in Nigeria

below is the email

We write to inform you that we have been mandated by your employer (Eleme Petrochemical Company Limited) to act on your behalf here in Nigeria as your local representative for the fulfillment of your 1 year contract with your Employers (Eleme Petrochemical Company Limited) here in Nigeria. You shall therefore be required to provide us with the following as to enable us start up the processing of your traveling document and other necessary papers needed to facilitate your journey to resume work here in Nigeria.

Find below the requirements for this processing;

I) Letter of authority, duly signed stating that Titan Travels Immigration Consultant Agency; and their authorized representatives have been given the authority to receive documents on your behalf as well as act as local representatives for purposes of Liaison requiring the activities of a representative.
