Here is an email from the fake UK Home Office/Border Agency.

The genuine UK Border Agency NEVER requires a person to send proof of finances by making a Western Union, MoneyGram, or bank transfer. The scammer intends to steal this money. When the scammer receives the 'proof of transfer', he will be able to collect the transfered money himself, even if it is sent by Western Union or MoneyGram to your own name.

If you wish to consult the UK Border Agency, do not use an email address or website address given to you by your potential employer, but go to the genuine website here:

the needed points for Visa Approval, going by the new point-based system for
immigration in 2011
· Ensuring that the applicant is eligible to Live, Work and carry out business activities in
the United Kingdom legally.

The new points-based system (PBS) is the biggest shake up of the immigration system for 45 years.
Under the new system, migrants will need to pass a points-based assessment before they receive
Certificate of Elligibility and permission to enter or remain in the United Kingdom. It will help British
businesses recruit the skills it needs from abroad and assure the British public that only the skilled
migrants will need to come to the United Kingdom. The role of employees/migrants with qualifying
financial base is crucial to its success.

We would like to acknowledge receipt of application for Certificate of Eligibility (COE-
UKIMG2011) Maxwell and Lisa Johnson is your sponsor for your Flight Ticket, Visa, Work
Permit and Temporary Immigration status.

stipulated financial requirement/applicant travel allowance that must be in possession of the
applicant/employee into the UK.

You must be able to demonstrate that you have funds to support yourself and any
dependents. For the main applicant the mandatory travel allowance is £500GBP.
If you are using your own funds the money must be held in your personal bank account for a
minimum period of 3 months for which you must show bank statements/other evidence
immediately preceding and dated no more than 1 month prior to the date you submit your
application. The balance should not fall below the required minimum at any time during the 3
