Hello Destitute, and welcome to ScamWarners.

Thank you for posting this. As you can tell by the previous post, this scammer - like most scammers - changes his fake identity quite frequently, and it is very helpful to know his latest fake name.

I'm also very glad that you recognised this as a scam!

Hi :) I got a message from Marvin family. When I put their e-mail address to google, I found their address on this page.
Here is an e-mail that they send me (with link to their "private" page):
We found your profile on Au pair website and we are very much interested in you. Kindly see my family profile for more details and get back to me. Here is my family profile again for your reference http://hostfamilyprofile.dinstudio.com/
Please can you tell me...is it scam? If so...why they are doing this? What should happen if I didn´t find this page and became "their au-pair"?
Thank you very much. :)

It is a scam.

You would never actually become their au-pair, because they are not a real family, and they don't have a real job to offer. They are African scammers using stolen photos of real people. Their goal is to steal your money.

The scammers want to convince you that you have been hired, and then they will send you to someone (a travel agent, home office, maybe even a landlord.) This person will require that you send money in order to get visas/plane tickets/an apartment to live in, etc.

In reality, that person is the scammers themselves, and any money you send goes straight into the scammers' pockets.

Marvin Family
Email Address: [email protected]
Phone Number: 0012069059380
Address: 26th Ave Ne , Seattle, Washinton 98125

The web site is in the porcess of being reported for fraud.

It is ALWAYS a scam
If the pet seller or shipper asks for money to be sent via Western Union, Money Gram, any brand of gift card. Walmart To Walmart , Zelle , PayPal friends and family option, or mentions Cameroon

This scammer, who pretends to be the Marvin family, recently used the same fake profile when pretending to be called Stefano Marlo. You can see this here:

viewtopic.php?f=42&t=43401

He also pretends to be called Frederick Ferrari and Robert Mcleland. You can read about this scam here:

viewtopic.php?f=42&t=36063

You will see that, as Dotti mentioned above, this scammer usually pretends that an au pair needs to rent an apartment in London. The scammer then sends emails pretending to be an Estate Caretaker, and tells au pairs that they must send a deposit for this apartment.

All money sent is stolen by the scammer.
