This is not a genuine au pair opportunity; it is a scam. This scammer has also called himself Richard Crawford and sent near-identical scam mails in that name, but pretending to be living in the USA. You can see those emaills here:

My wife Maureen and I are looking for a responsible, warm, mature, enthusiastic, fun, trustworthy and reliable Au pair from any country to be a part of our family, who genuinely loves being around young children.Must speak English and is willing to stay with us for a minimum period of 4 to 12 months. We also seek an Au pair for basic child care and some light housework.
We are an easy going fun family with a fairly hectic lifestyle! I work full time and so does my wife.
Salary ranges from £1000 as monthly Salary and a weekly pocket money of £150pounds sterling.
You will be expected to work for approximately 30-35 hours per week, and have the weekends off.
Do well to send us a brief resume & also some recent photos of yourself if you will be willing to render your services to my family in due course and we would get in touch with them as soon as possible.
Travel expenses and visa arrangements will be discussed along with my family.
Regards
Owen Norwood
for the family.
Hi,
How are you doing? I trust you are in good health?
It was really nice to get to hear from you. I just went through your profile again and also showed your photos to my family and they liked it,We think you have a great sense of humor and good personality so We have considered hiring you for your services.
However as regards arrangements, my family will be willing to cater for your all round flight/fare expenses and Airport pick up.
Plus we provide you with a conducive private live in accommodation in our home and feeding as well for the duration of time spent with us.
But am afraid you will have to be solely responsible for handling the Attorney binding fee for your legal Contract agreement which should be legally certified and endorsed over at the UK home office since you will be working here with us as Domestic worker/Au pair.
So if you agree to these terms do let us know in due course and I can ask a friend of mine at the office who also had her Aupair come in from Poland couple of months ago to refer us to a reliable attorney who works directly with the UK Home office that assisted with hers as well.....
But first let me tell you a little bit more about my family,
Maureen is a teacher in a local high school not too far from the house, she teaches physical education to a wide range of pupils.
I on the other hand work as a Real estate agent,am involved in buying, selling long & short term leasing of properties in and outside the shores of London.
We are down to earth people not arrogant,we respect our employees opinion very much, our son is the most adorable thing on the face of the earth we love him so much and so will you I hope.We are also easy going people my wife and I.
I leave for work early in the morning 7.30am,about the same time my wife does,Alex leaves at 8.30am comes in by 1.00pm.We have a cook Maria that helps us out with that for now.
Alex wakes up about 7.00am in the morning .We just allow him to get enough rest so the rest of his day wont be so tiring. But sometimes he gets up earlier than everyone else in the house, pretty surprising for a kid of his age I must say.
In the morning the whole family takes breakfast together and the kid eats cereals or oat meals, its his favorite. He also enjoys playing video games & a little bit of soccer outside the lawn when he wants to get messy, but don't worry you should get used to it in no time if you choose to proceed with your application.
One more thing just in case you agree to the terms ,I want you to know we are a religious family,so we also attend services every Wednesdays & Sundays.
And If I may ask you some questions,do you practice your religion as well?
.Please tell me a little about your own childhood and your relationship with your family?
.What type of things do you like to do in your free time?
.Are you comfortable assisting with homework? Reviewing homework?
.Are you comfortable supervising friends of our son during a play date while you are in charge?
Best wishes
Owen Norwood
for the family.
Hello,
Thanks for the response and sharing a little bit more about yourself and family with us,Maureen and I really appreciate it. After reading your letter I have no doubt in mind that you will make a perfect aupair and teacher for Alex.
Anyway we have never hired an aupair from outside the UK before so please contact the attorney my friend referred to Maureen and I who helped her aupair as well, he is a very well known solicitor here in London and he works hand in hand with the UK home office so he should issue a copy of the Contract and other necessary guidelines.

But before anything else let me give you a brief insight on our neighborhood and city.
We have a train and bus station not too far from the house, there is also a language school and park where folks go to spend quality time and relax or walk their dogs.
We dont have a beach close by but you wont need to drive too far to get to one, we sometimes go there during the weekends to spend quality time together and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
As I said before we are a down to earth family, we try our possible best to spend as much time as we can with each other...we believe that family is more important than finance or a job, so we value what we have always and am sure the same implies to you....
Anyway please feel free to ask to me anything else you will like to know that will make you feel at home once you arrive, and I will be more than happy to answer.
One more thing,we would love to speak to you over the phone so please let us know when will be convenient enough for you?
Lets keep in touch
Best wishes and love from Maureen & Alex
