Is this a scam??

We are a young Irish family based in a village called Ratoath, Co. Meath, Ireland. We are looking for someone to come and help us in our busy home. We have a boy and a girl: marry are 9, and Harry is 7. Mom works 3 days and Dad works 5days each week, so we would like you to be part of our family as an 'older sister' and help take care of our kids marry & Harry go to school so you would get them ready in the morning and bring them to school and collect them in the evening. On Tuesday, they stay home, so you would look after them that day. On the other two days (Mon &Fri) we would like you to be available part time, helping out around the house, for light housework and general assistance We would like you to live-in with us and can offer you your own bedroom with en-suite bathroom and Satellite TV. We also have a PC with Broadband Internet access for you to use to skype your family back home. Ratoath is a young village but fast growing with a population of c. 4000 people. The public bus network passes close to our house and takes 45mins to get to the center of Dublin City, We pay 300 EURO of pocket money per week for the basic aupair time and duties and 1600 EURO for your salary (every four weeks), which can be topped by housework. And i will provide a phone package (fixed and portable). You will also have your own car to drive the kids and that you can use on. we are really happy to hear from you as our new aupair miss Juliana is our last aupair she came from Nepal and she was here happily, joy and she never regret been part of our family and you are going to live in with us.

Yes, it is. The indicators are:
A 4470 phone number.
The IP is from Nigeria, not from Ireland.
More information than you needed.

I quit looking at it after finding those things. It is a scam walk away. Don't email them anymore and block their address.

The scammer is a brainless idiot as he's using a 44 (0)70 number which he can use to redirect calls to wherever he really is in the world.

44 is the dialling code for the UK. However the scammer doesn't know that Ireland (Eire) isn't part of the UK and the dialling code should be 353, so he's wasting his time pretending to be in Ireland.

Also, if you are not an EEA citizen, basically not in the EC, then you can not get a work permit for a job as a domestic worker or caregiver in Ireland.

Anything this scammer has written about Ireland he must have copied from Wikipedia.

Non-EU citizens should go here to find out about obtaining a visa to work as an au pair in the UK

Whenever payment is requested by Western Union you're dealing with a scammer

This scammer may provide an email address which he claims is the address of his previous au pair:

This is our last aupair Juliana email : [email protected]

Emails from 'Juliana' are actually written by the same scammer who is pretending to be James M. Bush, and the Globallink/GTLC Travel Services.

The phone number is a +4470 redirect number, which will connect you to the scammers phone where ever he is in the world. It looks British, but it's mostly used by scammers.

Being a victim doesn't mean you stand alone. We're here to help you.
